Following the closure of the Recreation Area this week (Week 20), for the installation of new wet pour all the work will be completed by tomorrow evening.  It will require to dry overnight.  Therefore it's pleasing to report that as from Saturday 18 May 2019 the area can be accessed once again.

Residents are advised that this year's Memorial Hall AGM is this coming Monday 20 May 2019.  Staring at 7:30 pm in the Memorial Hall.

Regretfully the arrangements for the meeting missed the deadline for the Village News.  All residents and users of the hall are invited to hear the reports from the trustees and to make any comments for future consideration by the committee.

101  Is The New Police Non-Emergency Number

As part of a national programme, the Cheshire Police non-emergency number of 0845 458 0000 has been replaced with 101

This number will provide a single non-emergency number across England and Wales and should be used to report crime and other concerns that do not require an emergency response.


  • If your car has been stolen
  • Damage or vandalism to your property
  • Suspected drug use or dealing
  • To provide information about a crime

Calls to 101 will be charged at a flat rate of 15 pence no matter how long the duration of the call is, what time of day it is or whether the call is from a landline or mobile phone.
